Some of these positions are elected, however some are appointed by the Board of Selectmen or members of the sitting board. Solid Waste Foreman
The Town of Gilmanton, NH has an immediate opening for a full-time Solid Waste Foreman. This is an exciting opportunity for a dynamic and collaborative professional to serve as Foreman of the Transfer/ Recycling Facility. This is a responsible, technical, and administrative position, performing a variety of routine skilled and semi-skilled duties involving the proper operation of the equipment at the facility. Priorities include building a team that is results-driven through effective leadership, a commitment to fostering a positive, harmonious work environment that promotes employee engagement and accountability, and improving facility operations around safety and operational standards. Excellent oral and written communication skills and proficiency in communicating with both internal and external parties. Must possess a valid NH operator’s driver’s license with an acceptable safety record. Commercial Driver’s License (CDL-B License) preferred or ability to readily obtain. Must maintain a Level III or greater Solid Waste Facility Manager/Operator license as issued by the State of New Hampshire. Pay commensurate with qualifications and experience. Finance Administrator
The Town of Gilmanton is seeking an experienced Full-time municipal Finance Specialist. The successful candidate must have experience with finance administration, general accounting practices, working knowledge of GASB rules, and municipal finance software (BMSI preferred) designed for accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger and grants management, budget forecasting, tracking, planning, and Human Resources. Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field and a minimum of four years’ experience in municipal finance preferred; OR equivalent combination of experience and education which demonstrates an ability to be successful in the position. The Finance Specialist also serves as Human Resource Administrator and assists the Town Administrator with those functions. The hourly pay range for this position full-time is $29.00 - $36.00; starting wages will be commensurate with qualifications. The full-time position is eligible for benefits. Facility Coordinator
The Town of Gilmanton Selectmen's Office is currently accepting applications for a Facility Coordinator position.
SUMMARY OF JOB PURPOSE: Coordinates all aspects of Building/Facilities operations including interior and exterior maintenance, repairs, and renovations by town employees and outside contractors and performs semi-skilled maintenance tasks in the repair, maintenance, and upkeep of town facilities including light carpentry and painting.

FIREFIGHTER / AEMT / PARAMEDIC
The Town of Gilmanton Fire Department is currently accepting applications for the position of Firefighter/AEMT/Paramedic. 48-hour work week.24- hour rotation with potential for overtime. The position responsibilities include but are not limited to; response to fire and medical emergencies, operating department apparatus, assist in fire and life safety Inspections, Inspection and maintenance of department equipment, and the maintenance of Fire Department buildings and grounds.Minimum qualifications: High School diploma or equivalent, possession of a valid State of NH CDL-B (tank endorsement) driver’s license, Nationally Registered and State Licensed AEMT/Paramedic. (May consider EMT with completion of Advanced EMT within one year of hire as a condition of employment) State FFII CPAT certification. Starting pay 21.00 to 23.00 based on certification. Must pass background checks, and NFPA 1582 physical. The Town of Gilmanton offers a generous benefit package that includes Health and Dental insurance, long term/short term disability, vacation and sick time, holiday pay.
