The Town of Gilmanton relies upon volunteers to serve on the various boards, committees, and commissions as members and alternate members. Some of these positions are elected, however, some are appointed by the Board of Selectmen or members of the sitting board. RFP Crack Sealing

The Town of Gilmanton NH is inviting bid pricing for crack sealing miscellaneous roads in Gilmanton with hot rubberized crack sealer, product details and specifications are attached. Bid proposals must be on company letterhead clearly stating price and specifications. Bids must be sealed and marked, “Crack Sealing 2024” and be delivered to Town of Gilmanton Town Hall 503 Province Road, PO Box 550 Gilmanton NH 03237 by May 03, 2024, at 12:00 PM, when they will be opened publicly and read aloud. Appointed Road Agent

The Town of Gilmanton is seeking to Appoint a Road Agent.  The Road Agent oversees the Highway Department Budget as well as directly supervises the department’s employees.  A minimum of a CDL-B is required, minimum of 7 years of experience in the operation of heavy equipment and maintenance of public roads, or a combination of education and experience and a minimum of 5 years supervisory experience with training.  Other duties include snow plowing w/plow and wing, grading roadways, cutting brush, installing culverts, etc.

SOLID WASTE FACILITY ATTENDANT

The Town of Gilmanton is seeking a Solid Waste Facility Attendant for the Transfer Station Part-Time 24 hours per week

 Performs a variety of routine and semi-skilled laboring duties involving the disposal of refuse, the separation of recyclable materials, and other functions related to the solid waste/recycling facility, including assisting customers.

 Works under the direct supervision of the Solid Waste Foreman and under the general supervision of the Department of Public Works Director. Supervisors assign work and review work in progress and/or at completion. Work is reviewed for conformance with instructions and for the safety and care exercised in operating equipment.

High school diploma or equivalent, valid N.H driver's license, experience in heavy manual labor; experience in municipal solid waste industry; possession of a Department of Environmental Services certificate or can obtain one in accordance with the State’s schedule; a valid NH operator’s license; OR any equivalent combination of education and experiences which demonstrates possession of the required knowledge, skills and abilities.

Town of Gilmanton- Equipment Operator

The Town of Gilmanton is seeking a Full-Time Equipment Operator to join the Town’s Highway Department.

This is a full-time, forty-hour (40) a week position with benefits, working under the general supervision of the Road Agent.

Duties are varied and diversified in maintaining public roads including equipment operation used in the construction and maintenance of streets, culverts, and other public works projects along with the manual labor assignments.

Certification Required: CDL-B

Summer Hours- May- October 6:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m., 4 days per week

Winter Hours -November- April 7:00 a.m.- 3:30 p.m. with an opportunity for overtime

FIREFIGHTER / AEMT / PARAMEDIC 

The Town of Gilmanton Fire Department is currently accepting applications for the position of Firefighter/AEMT/Paramedic. 48-hour work week.24- hour rotation with potential for overtime. The position responsibilities include but are not limited to; response to fire and medical emergencies, operating department apparatus, assist in fire and life safety Inspections, Inspection and maintenance of department equipment, and the maintenance of Fire Department buildings and grounds.Minimum qualifications:  High School diploma or equivalent, possession of a valid State of NH CDL-B (tank endorsement) driver’s license, Nationally Registered and State Licensed AEMT/Paramedic. (May consider EMT with completion of Advanced EMT within one year of hire as a condition of employment) State FFII CPAT certification. Starting pay 21.00 to 23.00 based on certification.
