Town Clerk/Tax Collector Update

June 16, 2020

To the Residents of Gilmanton:

The Town Clerk/Tax Collector's office is still closed to the public and will remain closed until further notice. I am still the only person who is currently able to work in the Town Clerk/Tax Collector’s office due to the COVID-19 pandemic, and I am continuing to work diligently in order to provide our residents with access to the services we provide.

I am often unable to immediately answer the phone or an email, but please know that I will respond as soon as I am able. Mail, drop box, and online transactions are still being processed daily, and it is taking approximately 7-10 business days before you see your returned paperwork in the mail. If you have already submitted your transaction, please allow for 10 business days before reaching out to verify that it has been mailed. Transactions are being processed in the order that I receive them, and I am processing as quickly as possible. I am mailing all completed transactions and am only allowing pickup in extenuating circumstances, such as a primary vehicle registration with no other recourse or means of travel.
