Sawyer Lake Village District

Sawyer Lake Village District (SLVD) was established in 1975 and is located in the Town of Gilmanton, NH.  This is a private community and only residents and their guests have access to the six beaches that surround the beautiful 82-acre Sawyer Lake.  This setting offers seasonal recreational activities and is close to many attractions in the Lakes Region. 

Sawyer Lake Village District is a specialized form of municipal government.   SLVD is governed by three Commissioners.  SLVD Commissioners are responsible to maintain the private roads, beaches and Sawyer Lake Reservoir Dam owned by SLVD.  

The Commissioners meet on the 3rd Thursday of each month at 6 p.m. at the SLVD Clubhouse.  SLVD has an Annual Meeting usually the first Saturday of April where elections for officers are held and the budget and warrant articles are passed.  The Commissioners can be directly contacted at slvdcommish@gmail.com
