How do I register my car in Gilmanton?
If you would like to transfer plates from another vehicle that is currently registered to you, in NH, you will need to surrender that current registration.
All vehicles 2000 or newer will need a title
Any vehicle with three or more axles will always require a title, regardless of age.
Registering a vehicle 1999 or older:
- Bill of sale containing VIN number, make, model, etc.
AND
- TDMV 19A form for vehicles purchased out of state
OR
- Copy of previous NH registration
OR
Copy of previous title from any state
New Resident Registrations
You will need to provide proof of residency in the town.
- RENTERS:
- Lease Agreement OR
- Residency Confirmation by Owner (must be notarized)
- HOMEOWNERS:
- Copy of the property deed showing residency in Gilmanton
If there is a lien on your vehicle with an out state lien holder you will need to bring:
- Your current registration
- The name and address of your lien holder
- Current mileage on the vehicle.
